The Easiest Way to Push Offline Conversions to Google Ads

After a year and a half of work we’re proud to say TrueConversion is ready.

We built it to solve a problem we kept running into when we managed Google Ads campaigns for our clients. What we noticed, after a while, was that a fair number of the form fills weren’t from people who wanted to buy anything. Job seekers looking for work, other agencies pitching their services, sales people too lazy to scroll down to the organic results. Google Ads counted every single one as a conversion, and Smart Bidding then tried to find more people who behaved the same way. So the campaigns drifted further from the kind of leads our clients actually wanted, and the client kept paying for it.

What we needed was a way to tell Google which form fills were real customers and which weren’t, and to do it for every submission without anyone sitting on top of the inbox filtering by hand.

So We Built TrueConversion

When someone submits a form on your WordPress site, TrueConversion sends the message to a classifier we run on our own server. The classifier reads it and decides whether the person looks like a genuine commercial enquiry. If they do, the plugin marks the entry as a conversion and pushes it back to Google Ads using the gclid that was captured when the visitor first arrived. From Google’s side, that’s a real offline conversion tied to a real ad click. Over the following weeks Smart Bidding starts learning from those signals and stops working as hard on the clicks that don’t pay off.

For a business owner running Google Ads for lead generation, the benefit is straightforward. Your reported conversion count goes down, because the junk is no longer counted. The cost per real lead comes down with it, because Smart Bidding stops bidding hard on clicks that historically produced rubbish. The leads coming through are more likely to be people you can actually do business with, and your reporting becomes honest.

You don’t need to rebuild your forms or write any code. TrueConversion works with Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, Fluent Forms, Elementor Pro, Forminator and Jetpack. You don’t need an Anthropic account or any AI keys of your own either. You install the plugin, connect your Google Ads account, and it runs.

Try LeadSource First

We don’t think everyone needs TrueConversion. If you’re running Google Ads but you’re not sure whether junk leads are actually hurting you, our honest suggestion is to install LeadSource first. It’s our free WordPress plugin and it captures the traffic source behind every form fill, so you can see where each lead came from. If LeadSource shows that a lot of your Google Ads conversions aren’t real customers, that’s when TrueConversion makes sense.

If it shows your Google Ads leads are mostly genuine, you don’t need TrueConversion. Keep using LeadSource and save your money.

TrueConversion is available at trueconversion.net with a free 14 day trial.

If you’re running digital ads and struggling to reconcile what the platforms report with the leads you’re actually receiving, we’ve been there. LeadSourcePro is the tool we built to fix it — and we’d be happy to walk you through it. Get in touch if you’d like to chat.
